The St Giles Educational Trust undertakes practically-focused research projects in a range of areas which contribute to the further development of English language learning and teaching.

The key aims of our research activities are to enhance the learner experience, to ensure continuous quality improvement and to explore innovatory approaches which enable ELT to be customised to specific contexts and student or client needs.

Where appropriate, we collaborate on research projects with academic and other organisations in the UK and overseas.   St Giles teacher trainers are actively involved in these projects, as part of their own professional updating and research interests.

The focus of the most recent research undertaken by the Trust was Learner Centred Learning and Teaching (LCLT).
