Resources
The St Giles Educational Trust set up the ELT library in central London in 2001 and it is now run by St Giles International. It is a unique specialist reference facility and archive for English language teaching and learning, which includes journals, teacher training and reference books and reproducible teaching and learning resources. Many of the titles are no longer in circulation and cannot be obtained through other channels. An already impressive collection has recently been augmented by donations from IATEFL, the University of Warwick and other benefactors.
Whether you’re a student, an experienced or trainee English language teacher from anywhere in the UK or overseas, a teacher studying for a Master’s degree or diploma, an ELT manager or a teacher conducting research, then a visit to the library should be considered an absolute must. Access is free of charge and the library has welcomed visitors from across the globe.
The library also runs regular professional development events which are open teachers and others working within the ELT sector via the well-known Teachers’ Tuesday Club as well as a range of activities for English language students at St Giles International.
